Antique Museum
Take a moment to visit the Antique Farm Equipment Museum, a timeline of agriculture's heritage, a tribute to past generations of California farmers and dairymen, the technology used to create a garden from a desert- the museum honors the past.
In 1975, the International Agri-Center instituted a vision - a vision that included the promotion and advancement of agricultural education, knowledge and awareness. From this vision came the dream - a dream of many long-time volunteers to create a place where agriculture's rich history and promising future could be showcased for all to experience and enjoy. The Antique Farm Equipment Museum continues to be the inspiration behind this unique facility.
Rich with knowledge and history, easily accessible to all adults and children, the Antique Farm Equipment Museum allows everyone to learn and experience a part of the lives farmers have lived over the years. Fully restored antique tractors, implements and other equipment used while working on the range and on the farm are showcased in the museum. Take a trip through time to explore the days of horse-drawn and steam engine equipment. This museum recalls the evolution of the agriculture sector and teaches the history lesson of the industry that feeds and clothes the world.
Heritage Complex, located at 4500 South Laspina Street in Tulare, California, is open to the public seven days a week and features specialized tours for groups of 10 or more. School groups have the option of classroom extension activities and lessons - you can even arrange to have a tour of a real farm during your stay!
